ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Biochemistry was started in 1997. It runs B.Sc., Biochemistry course and M.Sc., Biochemistry. M.sc Biochemistry introduced during 2019. Biochemistry course has been updated with the inclusion of all the latest topics available and in line with UGC guidelines. In a short span of time it made rapid strides in teaching and Biochemistry laboratory skills.
Our Qualified Faculties have achieved excellence both in teaching and research. The department has collaborative MLT programme. The department has organized One National level Webinar, Two day International Conference and Five-one day International conferences with participants from different Institutions. The department conducts Gastroenterology and Cardiology Medical camps in association with Madras Medical Mission. Our staff members have published papers in leading National and International Journals. The benevolent Management envisions introducing Ph.D., research programme in Biochemistry in future.
